ヴィム・ヴェンダース監督1991年の映画(邦題「夢の涯てまでも」)サントラ。
U2, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, REM など、当時のいかにもな感じの人選だが、これはヴェンダース自身が依頼したらしい。もともと音楽とは関わりの深い人だからできることなんだろう。アルバムとしても統一感がある。
